Maine Travel Guides

Just before the summer tourism season in Maine, we get lots of requests for Maine guidebooks and travel planners. Many of these guides and travel planning tools can be ordered online, or by email, or are downloadable PDF files.

We recommend that you start with the Official Maine Travel Guidebook. You can have it mailed to you or it is free to review online here:

BUT THERE IS MORE. Many of Maine's regional chambers of commerce have great visitor brochures specific to their regions. We cannot pull out and show links to these brochures as the websites change all the time. But it is easy enough for you to find them as there is often a Visitor section listed at the top of their home pages. Just go to our Chamber of Commerce section (a list starting with Augusta) or to our Map of all Chambers and click on the chamber of interest, which links right through to the chamber website and then look for their visitor info.

The best way to start is by using the map because some chamber offices (e.g., the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce which has great visitor info) are located in towns you might not expect, in this case Trenton. The chamber listings and map sections of our site are here:
